How long does the session take?+
A LYCON Underarm Wax session takes around 10 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time for the initial consultation and personalised skin advice.
Can I use deodorant afterwards?+
Best not for the first 24 hours: the follicles are open, and alcohol and aluminium salts are the commonest cause of stinging and bumps after underarm waxing. Wear cotton that day and, if you need something, use a calming post-wax product.
Why does underarm hair grow in several directions?+
Because hair here grows in crossing directions — which is exactly why shaving leaves shadow and ingrown hairs. We work in sections following each growth direction, which is what allows the hair to come out at the root rather than snapping.
How often should I come back?+
Every three to four weeks. The underarm is a small, fast-growing area, so it is where a regular rhythm pays off soonest: within a few sessions regrowth is finer and the skin stops reacting the way it does to shaving.
