The Hollywood wax — complete hair removal from the intimate area — is one of the most requested services at Bloom Beauty, and also the one that raises the most questions about comfort and safety. With LYCON wax, the experience is radically different from what many clients have known elsewhere.

How long does the session take?+
A LYCON HOLLYWOOD WAX session takes around 30 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time for the initial consultation and personalised skin advice.
What's the difference between a Hollywood and a Brazilian?+
A Hollywood removes all the hair from the intimate area, front and back, leaving nothing. A Brazilian leaves a strip or a triangle at the front. If you're unsure, say so when you arrive — it's decided on the day, and you can always start with a Brazilian.
Does the first one hurt a lot?+
The first is the sharpest, mostly because the hair is coming out of shaving and out of sync. We use low-temperature LYCON wax, which grips the hair rather than the skin, and work in small sections. From the second or third appointment, on a regular four-week rhythm, most people describe it as very manageable.
What aftercare do I need?+
For 24-48 hours: no pool, sea, sauna, gym, tight clothing or sex — the follicle is open and that is when folliculitis appears. From day three, gentle exfoliation twice a week plus moisturiser is what keeps ingrown hairs away.
