How long does the session take?+
A LYCON BIKINI WAX session takes around 20 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time for the initial consultation and personalised skin advice.
How much does a bikini wax remove?+
A classic bikini removes the hair outside the underwear or swimsuit line and tidies the shape, without going inside. If you want the inner area or everything removed, that is a Brazilian or a Hollywood — we'll talk it through when you arrive, and you can change your mind in the room.
Can I be waxed during my period?+
Yes, there is no hygiene barrier if you are using a tampon or a cup. Do bear in mind that skin is more sensitive in the days before and during your period, so the pull feels sharper — if you can choose the date, the week after is more comfortable.
How do I avoid bumps and ingrown hairs?+
Three things: no shaving between appointments, gentle exfoliation from day three, and daily moisturising. For the first 24 hours, cotton underwear and no gym or pool. If you are prone to folliculitis, tell us and we'll apply a specific post-wax treatment at the end.
