This is targeted waxing of one small facial area: chin, upper lip or nose, whichever you choose. A quick session, ideal as maintenance between appointments or when only one area is bothering you.
Why LYCON wax
Low-temperature LYCON wax adheres to the hair rather than the skin — particularly important on fine, visible areas like the upper lip, where other waxes leave marked redness. It removes hair from the root, including the shortest growth, without needing to go over the same area repeatedly.
Aftercare
Slight redness is normal and settles within a few hours. Avoid direct sun, make-up and any products with acids or retinol for the rest of the day, and apply a fragrance-free soothing product if your skin feels sensitive. On a three to four week rhythm, hair grows back finer and results last longer.

Where can I have Upper Lips?+
Upper Lips is available at both of our studios: Bloom Beauty Marbella (C/ Adolfo Luque Chicote, Local 8, 29670 San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella) and Bloom Beauty Sotogrande (Av. de Paniagua 1, 11310 Sotogrande, Cádiz). Book at whichever suits you best.
How long does the session take?+
A Upper Lips session takes around 5 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time for the initial consultation and personalised skin advice.
Does waxing the lip make the hair grow back thicker?+
No — that's a myth. Wax removes hair at the root and, on a regular rhythm, regrowth is finer because the follicle weakens. What does leave a coarse tip is shaving, because it cuts the hair straight across.
How long does the redness last on the face?+
Usually between 20 minutes and a couple of hours, a little longer on fair or reactive skin. We apply a calming product at the end and recommend no make-up on the area that day, plus no direct sun for 24 hours.
Can I have facial waxing if I use retinol or have active acne?+
Not with retinol, acids or a recent peel: leave at least five days off actives, as wax can lift the skin. We also don't wax over inflamed acne lesions or an active cold sore. Tell us when booking and we'll adapt.
