How long does the session take?+
A Acne Detox & Purify Facial session takes around 60 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time for the initial consultation and personalised skin advice.
Are extractions included, and do they hurt?+
Yes, comedone extraction is part of the treatment and is done after steam or a keratolytic prep that softens the contents, which is what makes it bearable. The nose and chin are more uncomfortable than the rest. We never extract over inflamed lesions or cysts — forcing those leaves marks.
Will I break out afterwards?+
A mild breakout in the first few days is possible, especially where there was a lot of congestion: the skin finishes clearing what was already on its way. It settles within three or four days, and from then the pores are clearer and oil better controlled.
Is one session enough?+
Not for established acne. What works is a course every three to four weeks while the breakout is brought under control, plus the home routine — proper cleansing, sebum-regulating actives and non-occlusive sun protection — which is half the result. If you're on isotretinoin, tell us: it changes the protocol entirely.
